Wear Red for Women


Today was Wear Red for Women day.

Symptoms of heart attacks are less subtle in women than they are in men. They include shortness of breath, backpain, nausea or indigestion. Have you checked your blood pressure lately? Love your heart it loves you. Early detection and treatment are encouraged.

According to the American Heart Association, heart diseases are the number one killer of women. It is reported that more than 450,000 women die each year consequently and many are ignorant of the risk factors of heart diseases, many of which can be controlled or prevented. Here are some things you can do to keep your heart healthy.
1. Stop smoking

2. Start exercising

3. Know your risk factors
4. Reduce stress

5. Eat a healthy diet
6. Know your cholesterol

7. Know the signs of a heart attack
8. Maintain a healthy weight

9. Have regular medical check-ups

10. Have your blood pressure checked regularly
